Now I had to make a page for my dear friend, Janine who was in town this past June. She lives in Alaska and had a reunion to go to. This page is her last night in town and visit with her brother, Paul

My trip to the Tigers was last minute decision w/ my brother, Paul
and family My last night in Michigan we decided to go. It down poured
so hard in one of the innings (I think 2nd or 3rd) that they stopped the game
for at least 30 minutes. The only tickets left for sale were
standing room only, but my brother managed to sneak us down to some
good seats. We just enjoyed the game, Tigers won. I just enjoyed
the trip to Detroit...old memories. It was a nice night and spirits
were high after the win. I really felt like the city was bonding that night
a little hope in trouble times. Always good to see people cling to
something ya know. I really miss home, can you tell?

Scrapping away

Hello everyone, What did you do this weekend? I got to play around with them photos I've been wanting to scrap and try to stay warm. Was really chilly in the "D" this weekend. The first page I did was with some wonderful photos my oldest daughter, Toni took while she had baby Faith at work with her at Halloween City. Her co-workers, Faith and Toni had a blast trying on and showing off some of the great custumes they have. I just opened up my Halloween Scrap Folder and went to town. I really like how it came out.

Here is my second page for the DSS Second Chance challenge. We had to use items from their September Blog Train called Second Chance. Some of the designers had some beautiful papers and wonderful unique elements.

OLD DETROIT

I have a HUGE love for my city, Detroit so much so I have done over 20 pages just on the "D"!!!! I really love how this came out, one of my best or at least I think it is, lol The journaling is from some information I got on these cool photos of old Detroit buildings.

Big PhotoBeautiful Detroit Theater turned into a parking lot the old Detroit Theater
(or Michigan Theater) in Detroit, MI was built in 1926 by architecture firm Rapp & Rapp.
It was a spacious and grand hall with ornamental details all throughout its design.
As with most of Detroit, the theater went through several rough patches and eventually became a garage.

I just fell in love the photos and how she is trying so hard to be gentle with her new buddy.

 I used the cute poem "Soft Kitty" that Sheldon from the T.V show "Big Bang Theory" I love that show.

Whew that was a lot of blogging, Many thanks for stopping by and Happy Scrapping till we meet again!

A scrapping Saturday and a freebie too!!!

Today I scrapped and scrapped away making up for the lost week I guess, lol! I had a blast and that's what counts.

So as I told you yesterday I made  Armina Designs CT and I got to play with her cute and adorable kit "The Good Times" I used my beautiful niece Brandi photo's with her boyfriend, Brent. She has so many kissy kissy photos on her Facebook I had to play with them.

I used Yin Design template #234 (I love her templates and use them over and over again) and I used the song "Kiss You All Over" by Exile for the journaling.

I really love how this came out. Brandi and Brent adore it and had it printed out almost as soon as I posted on her Facebook. LOL love her!!!

I also told ya about my pc blues I had last week and had to drop out of SSA LO Artist contest, well I got a second chance for the last week. woohooo.

We have two task with this challenge and here is the first one. We have to use a wonderful sampler of "My First Day Sampler" by Deanna of Flower Scraps.

I used each and every part that was in the sampler, except for one blue paper I never noticed till I was done, hate when that happens but it was perfect so I just left it and the word art is by Create with TLC, she has it as a freebie and I've been waiting to use it. I found some cute photo's of my grand-baby FaithAnne.

I also got to play with Forever Love kit  by B2N2 Designs her newest release.

Ohhhh last week was crappy lol

 

Let me tell you about my crappy week I just had, Last Saturday I was drinking my coffee and doing one of my favorite things I do when I drink my coffee and enjoy the mornings on my porch, is check for all the digi freebies. Well I got a virus that would not let me do anything on my laptop. Grrrrr the freebie was at a digi store (sorry will not say other then it was an over sea store) anyhoo I had to take it to my PC guy, Greg at Gforce he is the BEST!!!  This has happen to me twice within 45 days he also added a virus detector woohoooo!!!!!  But because of a bill I had to wait a whole darn week to get my laptop back.

 

 I had to drop out of the LO Artist contest at "The Studio" broke my heart but my hunny's PC doesn't have any paint program on it, GRRRR and of course I could not find my disc anywhere. I was so bummed I nearly stayed in bed all week. Of course I watched some movies I wanted to catch up on and my house got it's fall cleaning. LOL

  

Well it's a new week, I got my baby back (my laptop) and I caught up on some freebies I missed, Yes I am a freebie addict I will admit to it!!! I see my girl, Jill a.k.a. Created by Jill Designs is doing great at "The Studio's" Designer Contest!!!

Ivy's room has lots of different purples so I went to my kit collection in the "puple" folders, YES thats how anal I am!!! LOL and found a couple kits that really brought out the wonderful hues in the photos.

Anita the girls' mama loved it so much she had me make Ivy birth announcement with some design, so here is how it came out!! I am so proud of myself on this, it was a lot of clustering.

Well the other night I was bored so I went to The Studio's and check out some of the challenges and seen a cute recipe challenge. We had to buy a cute kit to male a recipe card and then at the end of the challenge we got a set of everyone who partisipated recipe's cards. How wonderful is that? Well I clicked on the link for the mini kit and happen to notice a new kit A-Manda Creation had on sale, the colors POPPED right out to me purples (hehehe) and turquoise which are my fave's beside colbot blues. Anyhoooooo I had to check it out and feel in love. I had to get it, like right now!!! So I did, well I only had enough in my paypal for one kit not both. Guess which one I got?

Yep, LOL I got  A-Manda Creation new Peacock kit in fact I got the Big bundle and if I had enough in my account I would of got the HUGE bundle, LOL I would I would. I was so excited and did I meantion it was 2am? That when I opened it up and seen some beautiful QP's well i opened up my PSP of course and found some photos to plopped in. LOL and waaalaaaa

Well I didn't make it to the second round at the LO Artist Contest at the Studio, But I did get in a second chance round. Woohoo, wish me luck. We had to work with some really wonderful templates by Scrappy Cocoa. We also had to use kits that Round one of the Designer Contest made either this week or last. I choose last weeks. I used photos of my dear friend, Janine who lives in Alaska and these photos are almost her back yard. She was taking photos of the last of a day light one afternoon, it was like 4ish pm and already the moon was big and beautiful. How cool is that, she takes some wonderful photos and I would love to scrap them all, LOL.

Well it was late at night when I did these two pages for our nephew's Tony and Eric and stupid stupid me forgot to turn my script on for credits, UGGGGG!! Sorry gal's....so if you see something I forgot to give credit on just leave a comment and I will get to it right away.

For Eric's page I used one of Fuss Free #30 template by Fiddle-dee-dee Designs and of course I love my stitching and use some of my favorite's from Traci Reed Bad Sewing Machine collection. The date cluster on lower right corner is RRR Freebie by KB Custom Creations. The papers and some elements (notebook, lock, protractor, arrow) are from School Daze Kit which I love by Kristin Aagard. Who I see she has a sneak peek of her newest kit and there's a chance to win!!! She had me at Sneak, LOL !!!

In August KimB Designs hosted a set of QP freebie's with her, beautiful "Pretty Shabby" kit. They made a wonderful double page. I feel in love as soon as I seen them and I just happen to have some photo's I've been meaning to use of our beautiful grand-daughter Faith when she was 21 mts. old.

I truly had a wonderful weekend,  Me and the hunny BBQ'd and had a couple drinks and I kicked his butt in dice the weather was rocking as well. Well I got a couple challenge pages to do today so I better leave it at that. Have a wonderful week.

What's a Script?

This week I went to DST to get some advise on how to sperate a double template in PSP, and Cassel of Creation Cassel  helped me out, She told me what a script was and can ya believe I had no clue in my seven years working this program what a script was, LOL Well basically it helps you do some wonderful things with PSP program. Check out her store HERE, I bought her Stack'n Cluster - PSP Script

OMG it makes the stacks and cluster for you, you choice what you want to work with  (papers and elements) then run the script and waaalaaaa it does all the work for you. All you do is just add your shadow and tweak it a bit. Trust me it took a lot of work out of my hands. I loved it!!! Cassel has made a script junkie out of me and I am looking forward to buying some more.

Here is a page I did of my adoreable grandbaby, Faith. She was playing super start LOL I just fell in love with the photo and her holding the sunglasses out and gving her super star look. Cute Cute!!!

I just picked a mini kit I had in my collection, I ended up using this beautiful little kit called "SweetSpring Flower1" by Studio Flergs. I really love how it came out, the bright summery colors and I just love SF wonderful flower elements.

Well I am off to get some well needed sleep, sweet dreams digi world.

I just so happen to have a set of twins grandchildren. Johnny and Jada, They are the last of our oldest daughter Nina who happens to be a wonderful mother to seven children. 

Can you say "Double Adoreable"??? I also used the Back to school template freebie by Growing Pains Scrapped.

Now B2N2 had this cute kit as her last participation prize for SS Speed Scrap and I put together this page for a good friend, Karen who has the coolest cockatoo I ever met. I use to work in a bird store many years ago and always wanted one. They take more time for their needs then a dog and cat so I never got one.

How cute is this kit, I loved the bright colors and cute fun elements! I got a feeling we will be seeing this in her store real soon!!!

Layout Artist Competition 2012 Week One

OMG I went and done it now, Jill invited me to join The Studio's Layout Artist Competition 2012, I am having a wonderful time and meeting new scrap buddies. The hostess, Mandak gave us an adoreable cute kit she made Black Holes by Nibbles Skribbles. Just click on preview to go to her store to get it!!!

I was really nerves before I even open the kit, but once I got it open I relaxed a bit more. But silly me went into WEEK ONE GALLERY and threw up twice, LOL I really needed to challenge myself now and then and went for it!!! How could I not the kit was just too darn fun to play with. I used two photo's of my dear friend Ronnis grandson's Zac and Conner from Halloween 2010 *but just looked on my page and I have the 2012, lol OPPS well re-fix that before I show Ronni, I hate when I do that.*
