Glue Boogers.....

OMG since I have been art journaling and playing with all kinds of glue I now know what a glue booger is, lol!!! Sticks to your fingertips and drives you totally nuts. The husband is always picking me up goodies either at a craft store or dollar store. Here are some paints and duct tapes from a new dollar store I have not been to, he say's they have tons of craft stuff. Say no more I might have to break out of my comfort zone and go see this new store.
I have not played with acrylics since school and I had so much fun, I didn't come out of the room for hours.

Here is a page  I did for a friend I miss in my life, got to use a few recyclable stuff which makes me very happy! The rose tag has a stick and came with small planter Larry had gotten me for Valentines. I made the background paper using inks from printer cartridges and a tip of a pencil and smeared it on papers, also splattered some water colors on it.

The bag with the bird came from Larry tobacco, I also used some rub on's I had.
I took a couple digi papers, used a song that is popular right now and a poem of friendship and printed it out, slipped it in the pocket I made, alone with a menu from the local coney island.

This is some are from the newspaper, looked too cool. Inspiration for my doodling.

A few weeks back I made these three Detroit postcards to give out in my Happy Mail, well these finally came into today.

I love how they all came out, woohooo!!!!
I was inspired to make a page in my small smash book.

Again I used some recyclables. A beef jerky bag Larry had made a perfect window and I tossed some flowers in it.
Su from my Happy Mail group send me a few goodies and I used them here. She sent the card I added the quote. I love the coffee cup gripper she sent! The background page is a map I printed out. I had just used my last star sticker from a pack I had. I used the empty pack as a template and sprayed some ink I made (kool-aid of course working up to the good stuff) LOL

Here are just some work in progress, I am telling ya I now spend HOURS in my little craft room. I seen the Word of Wisdom on Pinterest. I will doodle and add quotes a little each day till I am done.

Practicing with some watercolors.

Playing around with my acrylic paints, I saved some of Larry's tobacco filter box flaps and painted all over them.

This is a page I painted in one of my books, not sure what I will do next. Don't worry I will be posting it.

Here is that watercolor background page I made (above photo) it is for Larry being unemployed right now. He is trying so hard to look for a new job but some days it gets discouraging especially when the classified have maybe two ad's for jobs.
I printed out his resume and doodled in color pens.

Those goodies Larry bought me inspired me to do my next page. I used the envelope from another Happy Mail sender, who drew the most beautiful happy mail I ever seen. LOVE IT!!!

With the goodies he had brought was some Motor City incense with three kinds Ann Arbor Berry Bash, Detroit Dragon Blood and Michigan Road Patch ooli. They had a sticker with the names that came off easily woohoo so I slapped those bad boys on my page!!!!
Added some more tidbits from my happy mail, doodled a little because of course we got more snow, damn crazy winter this year.

Shhhhish don't tell!
Jill or Christina will flip if they knew I was showing some sneak peak of their kit coming to their DSA stores in March, Can not help myself I made some note cards for sending in my Happy Mails. LOL

Wow I guess I have been a little busy in my little craft room, See you soon!
A little funny I seen on facebook

Art Journal Addiction

Ha, I realize this morning I am turning into an Art Journal junkie. I can't get enough of it and love just hanging in my little craft room. Here are some projects I made this past weekend.

Friday morning I went into my basement storage area and found some of my old trunks filled with tons of goodies from my past. I have had these two huge cork boards for years and I always pinned tidbits from where ever I went like concerts, local events, photos and such. Each time I moved I would remove everything from the boards into a box and start fresh with my new move so over the years I have a few boxed of goodies. Look at all the wonderful goodies I found to play with, woohoo!!!!

I was just playing around and kind of made a pop-up page!!! Love how this turned out.
Was showing off my first time I made some washi tape with kool-aid and masking tape!!!

I was again playing around, I had seen this quote floating on facebook and fell in love with it! I was so inspired I made a page with it.

When I posted them on facebook my friend Birdee challenged me to add another layer such as paint.
First I made some spray ink with blue kool-aid but it didn't take to well, so
used  some Crayola watercolors I had. I splattered it this time, then added some glitter to a few of the words.

LOL this is a bare wall I am using my leftover ink with, still work in progress.

Birdee challenged me to add another layers such as some feathers or ellies.

Well I took her up on that challenge too, I just happen to have a few feathers. Also used a few tidbits from some of the Happy Mail I am getting from all over the world!

I started this last week and ended up using it for my week 8 at DPL. I added some flowers, washi tape. I also could not see the print with the black pen I used so I re-colored it with a gel pen and still could not see it, so I added a top layer of black watercolors paint. The envelope is from one of my Happy Mail Swapper, Betty. The photo of the cute pittbull is a postcard from our vet. Oh and the background is my first kool-aid stamping project. I made two stamps one with a potatoe and the other with a big eraser, Larry my hubby got me.

Julie a.k.a Studio Sherwood has a beautiful new kit out, "Passionately" and you can find it HERE

I made this page for my DigiDare this week.

This was just some playing around with a quote I seen on facebook.

Here is my week 6 for Tangie Baxter AJC

Well that is it for now, Thanks for stopping by and I will see you soon!

Just a couple things I made last couple days. Here is my Recycle, Reduce, Reused  page I made on a frozen pizza cardboard, used some food labels I had around. Also used some goodies from my Happy Mails!!!!

I used the beautiful envolope Betty from Texas send me in Happy Mail yesterday!!!! I made my real first inks with kool-aid and then I made a couple stamps, one out of a raw potatoe and the other out of a big eraser!
You can't really read it here but I do have the saying " To Thine own self, Be true"
