ARTFUL JOURNEYS - WEEK # 9 (Favorite quote)

Hello and welcome to week 9 of Artful Journeys  prompts.
Your Favorite Quote!!

Mine is "Never waste ten dollars on a .10 cent problem" Something my Nana use to
say to us kids all the time and I said it to my babes.

I started with a gesso on my pages and then I used a stencil with my new modeling paste, wooohoo I broke down and got it since Micheal's was having a %40 off sale. I used a tealish blue and a dragon blood pink acrylics. I used markers and pens for the lettering's and I even glued a dime down!!!
My grandson's got a kick out of that. I used a few new stamps a dear friend, Lisa sent em this week.
Here are a couple photos I took of my RAK of stamps and candles!!!!

These are double sided stamps, how cool are they?

Then she gave me many birthday related stamps, I shall never want for any now. Wooohooo!!!

Here are the candles she sent, she is a "Party-lite" distributor. I just love them and the way they smell, yumminess!

Here is some newspapers I had on my art table for a few weeks, just collecting all my paints, inks and other goodies. Sopping it all up!! Well I used it on the front and back cover of an altered book I did just for me.
The cute dollie is from CBD and you can find her HERE
I used some chunky charms I have gotten for gift's from happy mails.
I just love how it came out!!!

Ohhh here is my Artful Journey March calendar!! Yep it's my birthday month and I am so excited, said no 49 yr old women ever, but I am!!! A lot is going on in my life that I am trying to improve so I am really looking forward to what God has in store for me and my family.

Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you soon.

ARTFUL JOURNEYS - WEEK # 8

Hello and welcome to week 8 of Artful Journeys  prompts.
"Things you think are beautiful – anything you like, but fill your pages with the stuff that really makes you happy!"

I started with gesso on my pages, then added some acrylic and wiped with baby wipe. I stamped using a blue ink. I had a napkin with pretty neon flowers, Once it dried I used sharpies to add dots and lace. I used a collage sheet doll from CBD . I added gems to her crown, outlined her with a pencil and pasted some eyes and a mouth from magazine cut out. Added black marker around them and added white marker pen dots. I also added black dots and stripes to her wings. I stamped the bird (from T. Holtz) and added a sticker crown to his head and dotted his eye with white fine tip marker. I Used another stencil and used a light purple ink. Used some word art stamps with black ink. A key stamp with maroon ink. The word art are also from magazine clippings, with purple sharpie and white pen dots. Last thing I did was use a deep dark purple gelato around the edge's of pages.

I just finished an altered book. I got to use some homemade molding paste I whipped up. Found the blog from Pinterest. HERE

I am in a napkin art swap so I used the birdie napkin I got from some happy mail over at. AMG's.

I added some beads and ribbons, sure hope my swap partner likes it.

I made a "Tip-In" for another swap "City" and of course I did a Detroit one, Love my city!!!

Well that is it for now hope to see you soon.

A rare moment a "Selfie" .... LOL I hate having my photo taking.

I'm back!!!

My internet is back on, wooohoo!!! had some issues with the last company we used.
So for now I will show you some stuff I made while I was away.

Amber a.k.a Craft Button Designs has some new dollies!!!!

Here is a postcard I made for a swap I am in. I loved her so much I used her in a couple other projects.
I made my own "Keep Calm" tickets!!

These are some ATC's I sent out as RAK's.

And here is a "tip-in" I made for a friend.

You can not really see it, but the flowers I used my home-made model paste!
It feels all raised and gritty, love it!!! Now if you look on the lower right that was part of a beautiful tag I got for a swap. But when I got it, it was in a official post office envelope, saying "they care" the package was all ripped up and half of it was even gone. So I ripped up what was left of the envelope and glued the half tag down along with the post office envie too, lol

I really love how this page came out and those are the eyes of the talented singer, "Pink"!!!

I hosted an altered CD swap over at AMG
The one on the right is going to my swap partner and the one on the left will be part of a birthday bash giveaway at AMG next month. Opps, I say that out loud? wink wink!
These ones I made for my besties at AMG, Betty, Melody and lovely Lynn.

I got to use my new Liquitex Professional Acrylic Inks, wooohooo Love'em!

OHHHHH MY GOD, need I show you my Valentine gift from the hubby???
Everything I got was on sale or I used coupons!!!
I got so much I have not even tried everything out yet, lol

Yeah I've been busy here are some more of my madness. Starting the next time I post I will tell you all what I used and sometimes how I used it.

Well I hope to see you soon, most likely Sunday when Artful Chicks has the new weekly prompt.
