Almost end of summer.

Wow, can you believe it is the end of the summer? Time just flying and I am not doing much but getting my art on. Here are a few things I made this week.

These are some tip-ins for art journal books.

The start of a new art journal book, another record book but this one is from 1963. I also used my Marilyn Monroe stencil which I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!
I love how this came out.

This is a cover I did to finish of an art journal book I have been working on for awhile.
The book itself is from an estate sale I went to in the beginning of summer. It is the record book from 1954 of a local doctor office. Pretty cool.

I got some new Prima Marketing Finnabair Art Extravagance Texture Paste!!!!
For this layout I used their Texture Paste - Black Sand. I love how really gritty this one is, awesomeness!!!

For this layout I used their  Texture Paste - Platinum Crackle, this one did not thrill me at all.
I did use a heat gun on one side of the page and on the other I let it dry over night.
Both were about the same effect. I used Tim Holtz Distress Stains on top and like how it came out.
The graphic is from last months Sport Illustrated magazine.

My artsy friend, Jackie sent me the carton of a 6 pack of beer with skulls on it. Finally got to use it and my new sugar skull duct tape too :) .... The sunflowers are some real photos my artsy friend, Lori gave me.
This started with some dylusions acrylic paints and inks, I drew the flowers with neo-crayons
I added some water to let it get the drippy look. I got the skull stencil from my dear artsy friend, Dori.
I love how this came out, don't ask me why. lol

I book down and got the new issue of "Art Doll" what a wicked cool magazine.

Well that is it for this week. Many many thanks for stopping by.
Have a great week!! Until next time "Get your art on"

New ATC's and PLP's

Made some new ATC's and PLP's this week. I do sell some over at ARTFUL EXPRESS.

I've been blessed to be able to sell some of my ACEO's and PLP either full decorated or plain and you can decorate them.

The four above was made on a double page watercolor paper. I loved it and need to get more.

With these PLP sets I decorated on in rockabilly art and the other I left plain.

here are some ATC's or ACEO's since I do sell them.

here are some ATC backgrounds I made too.

Just playing around after I seen a video tut on how to use one stencil over another.

This page I made with tons of happy mail goodies.

OMG!! I'm starting to hoard paints LOL!!!!

I made a ribbon doll with some tutu material I got from Lynn.

Speaking of that double page watercolor paper. Here is the cardboard from the back of it. I got to use my new James and Marilyn stencils.

Made some plain PLP backgrounds again using my new James and Marilyn stencils. I love'em!!!!
I got them over at Ebay, A seller called Black Jax Custom Stencils.

Here is another art journal page I made using some new Golden Paints.

ARTFUL JOURNEYS - WEEK #23 ~ Song Lyrics ~

Welcome to my post for ARTFUL JOURNEYS - WEEK #23 ~ Song Lyrics ~

I am a huge music fan. I have seen over 250 concerts since I was 12 and my Uncle Serge took me to go see J Geils band and Blue Oyster Cult at Cobo Hall a few weeks later I seen the famous KISS concert at the Cobo where they record a live album in 1975.
I also seen the band twice that inspired me for my page, Alice in chains "Man in the Box" Click title for a video. I have so many great memories in the 90's but there was a time I was struggling not being with my children who lived out of state with their dad.
I used a few different colors of acrylics, and tons of stamps and stencils. I also used some  magazine alphas for my title. I am quite happy how it turned out.

I also have been busy making another couple pages to finish up an art journal book.

I used a lot of happy mail goodies and stencils.

This is some pure madness I tell you!! LOL Had fun playing with my Liquitex acrylic pains and inks. Also used some T. H number rub-ons and a few paint markers.

I've been going to a little local thrift shop " Finders Keepers". The owner has been asking for some of my art. I made them an Art on the Box. They loved it and hung it up right away. Made me blush!!

I've been a happy kick making ATC's, here are a few more I did this week.

Yep I am a junkie making these. LOL I want to thank you for stopping by.
Have a great week.
