Week Three for Artful Journey.....PAINT IT BLUE

WOW already week three. Time is flying I swear. The prompt for this week is, "Paint it Blue" using only a palette knife/spatula or gift card to put down your blue paint. Since cobalt blue is my "FAVORITE" color this was a prompt I can sink my paint brush in.

Here is my take on this weeks prompt.

I put down many many blues with acrylic's and dylusion ink spray's I also seen this video while suffering for some inspiration.
I used some blue scrapbooking papers and old book pages.
I also used bubble wraps as a stamp, washi tapes, I used the ink sprays on the lace too.
I really love all the texture on this, the photo does it no justice. I did use gesso before I painted.

Have you checked out Betty's, Lynn, Terri and Melody's pages yet!! Simply awesomeness!!!

Here are some other pages I made this week.
Used Acrylics, leaf stamps, a used paper towel I slopped up some dylusion ink's.
I also used a roller stamp that I got this week at Hobby Lobbys, My girl Lynn gave me a gift certificate and I got all these goodies.  The feather was also a gift from Lynn.
I got my inspiration from a graphic I seen floating on facebook.
I just printed it and cut it out.

Here are photos of the front and back of my latest altered book I finished this week.
The body is from a mask I made and had used many times before, I have a photo of it HERE. I used acrylics, strips of scrap papers, stencils, watercolors.

Phone book pages, Acrylics, paint markers, sticker word art, alpha stencil, homemade spray inks, stamps, washi tape, circle die cuts from Lynn, The big word art is from the packing of dylusion art journal.
My art table needs to be clean but naw it can wait. LOL

Well that is it for now, hope you enjoyed your stay and please come back again.

Now go get your ART on!

Just some new pages I made

My dear friend, Lynn sent me this cool postcard
As I was opening up her mail, the new song "Hanging Tree" from Jennifer Lawrence came over the air waves so I combined them together for this page. I love the deep rich colors.

Week two for Artful Journeys...."Selfies"

WOW, already week two for Artful Journeys...."Selfies"
with that said, I HATE selfies and I HATE photos of me. I always have since I was a kid, I take more of my family photo's then be in them. Sad but true. Here is my take on this weeks prompt.
I used acrylics, faber castell gelatos, bubble wrap and other homemade stencils, black ink, joyink pens, dewert color intense pencils, washi tape from some old happy mail envelopes, book pages and my oldest grandsons help with the words.

Have you been to Artful Chicks to see Betty's, Melody's, Lynn's and Terri's?

Also while you are here, I will show you a couple "Tip-in's" I made for an altered art journal book I am about to finish.

Hope to see you soon. Stay warm!!

A Big Brown Paper Bag

I was bored the other night and wanted to try something different. Yes I have made mini brown paper bag ATC holders. But I wanted to go BIG!!!
I only used three bags, put some holes and rings and I was ready to roll.

My front (right) and back, the skull is an air freshener I had.

Love how this came out :)
I used some napkins on this one :)

In the one above I got to use a background from Annmarie who I was in a swap with.

I just stapled some ribbon and made a bow, I really love how it all came out!!

I also did a couple new pages for my art journal. Yes this has my favorite word "F" in it, lol
Ohhh he was so sexy I could not resist using him, so I did a photo transfer still not a master at this but I like it.

Ohhhh I love how this came out, this is the other side of that air freshener, lol

Ok here is a little digital work I did this week, with 2 Curly Headed Monster Designs new
kit "Red Between the Lines" with the calendar one I also used her, "Messy Months of 2015 ARTplate Collection

Well that is it and I will be back Sunday to show off my "Artful Journey" second prompt for the year!

OMG write this down somewhere, blogging TWICE in ONE day! BOOYAH!!!!!

OMG write this down somewhere, blogging TWICE in ONE day! BOOYAH!!!! LOL

Yep I blogged this morning for the first prompt over at Artful Chicks, check it out HERE.
My oldest daughter Randi was here today and we hung out in the art room. She is new to art journaling and ATC's, she made her very first mix media piece an ATC, I just love it.

I made an altered CD
Sorry I don't take the best photos.
.
I place some gesso on an old cd

I used some blue acrylic paint.

Used a sponge to add some white acrylic paint. I also sponged on some pink to, I
was going to use my grid (on bottom of photo) But it had too much black ink on it,

I used a homemade stencil and added some black dots.

I glued some white fiber all around the edge.

I got the girl from a Tangie Baxter collage sheet.
I used some left over dot stickers, so it would lift her a little.

I took my white wax pencil and drew a few circles around the black dots
I also used a inkjoy pen to add some more circles.

I used a couple or word art stamps and gems.

Placed a ribbon on the back to hang her up with.
I love how she came out.

Here is a page I whipped up this morning, I sstarted to show Randi how to do a photo transfer with a magazine cut out. A girl in the red dress.
I used watercolors for the backgroun and made circles with my faber castell gelatos
and big size bubble wrap. I made the tiny dots with homemade stencil and ink.
Cut out some words from magazines. The glasses I made with a stamp. I also used a gem and flower.

Well that is it for now, and hope to see you soon.
