Happy Friday

Happy Friday or should I say TGIF! Slow week and so glad the weekend is here.  I thought I would share a few photos of a few things I did this week.

How cool is this, my sister's MIL got me a cool sponge flower that had soap in it. Once all the soap was gone I could not wait to use it, made for an awesome stamp with texture!!!!

Dawn from DLP made this wicked sugar skully, love it!!!

Woohooo lookie what came in the mail for me, Dylusion ink spray I ordered a set of 24 from Marcy. She only had 17 of the colors and was on back order for the other colors.

Here was my first project with the spray inks.I also used some of Tumble Fishes collage sheets.

here is the page I finished up with the sponge stamping, where the ribbons are I used a 6 pk plastic holder, yes I love to recycle when I journal :) I flippin' love how it feels!!

Here is my second page using the spray inks. I also used magazine cut out's and paint markers.

And I used the paper towel to wipe up my inks and made her a puffy skirt, LOL

So my hubby got me a couple cigar boxes and here is the start of my first one.
I collage it with old children books, a dictionary and mod-podge
I added some gold trim but not that good, what can I say other then my first one, lol.

found this wooden butterfly and painted in with some acrylic black paint.
I still am not done, long ways to go and I would like to take my time on this so more to come.

So I been seeing all these art journal artist drawing faces on thier page's and I love that but could not draw to save my life, well load and behold I can!!! LOL Who knew?  I am so sorry I should of saved the blog addy I got this from, my cheat sheet.

I really love how this came out!!! The birdie stamp is a Tim Holtz product, my sister got them for me for Christmas and I use them a lot, love to get more.

One last thing to share, I am in another Frida swap and we just had to make some art, so I made my partner a "Tip in" for her art journal book. I printed out a photo from google, the butterflies are from a collage sheet I got at Ten Two Studios, the flowers are those tiny paint boogers you get when you open a bottle of acrylic paints, LOL ok ok paint skins I think they call it. I seen some artist using them on a link I seen this week, again did not save it sorry. I love how this came out.

Well this is it, just finished my last cup of coffee for the day and ready to go in my art room.
Have a fabulous weekend and hope to see you soon.
