YEAH!!!! It is week 1 of Artful Journeys new adventure.

YEAH!!!! It is week 1 of Artful Journeys new adventure. Check out the Artful Chicks Blog for inspiration and up coming prompts.

The first prompt of the new year is "Keyword or Phrase for 2015" Here is my take on it.
Acrylics, bottle caps for stencil circles, words from a magazine, washi tape, stencils, white and black wax pencils, Fairy Doll from a collage sheet of CBD; gems, bubble wrap for stamping, markers.

Here are a couple other page's I did this past week.

Acrylic's, washi/duct tapes, stamps, inks, I cut up 2 envelopes from some HM from Lynn Jackson, Joker from playing card, little red man from magazine.

Water colors, acrylics, stamps, inks, die cut circles, color wax pencils, the Dog girl is from a collage sheet by itKuPiLLi Imagenarium.

I used for the background a tiny gift one of the kids got, you put a marker in a straw like thing and blow, love how it came out. I broke out all my markers, lol Also used lots of rub-ons, wax pencils, paint markers, die cut hearts from Lynn Jackson, sticker alphas, washi tapes, bic pens, stamps, inks and stencils. There is a tab over one of the stamps it has my favorite adult word... My last for 2014 and I flippin' love how it came out.

I took this girl out of magazine and used packing tape to cover her back and front and used as a mask for my page. I used dylusion ink sprays, magazine letters, alpha stickers, butterfly brads and die cut, I had some wire on my table and made a butterfly with it. Sewed on some cardboard circles with glitter floss,

Well that is it for now and hope to see you soon.

Artful Chick week two prompt is......

Dropping in to tell you all about AC's week two prompt

This week's prompt is to catalog our paints/markers/pencils/etc. I did my Gelato's (faber castell ).
Oh my goodness, this is the "whitest" page I have ever done, lol I only did a simple one. It seems a little anal for me, LOL I don't get the point of it. But you will always run into prompt's that will annoy you and make your skin itch, this is mine. (grinning)

While your here I will show you a few pages I have done over the last past couple of days.
I loved the background so much I almost didn't put anything on it, but it makes me feel naked if I don't! LOL

I just happen to have the cherub w/ cloud on my desk and I wrote in LOVE with my black wax marker.

My oldest daughter went back to Florida last week with my grand-daughter and I miss them.

Yep I woke up so damn happy I can not stop myself from playing all day in my art room  ..... The girl is from Ziggles Designs  I just added more color to her. dylusion ink sprays, faber castell gelatos, white and black wax pencils, acrylics, markers, gelli pens.

Some Sunday morning madness from my head, The beautiful tag was sent to me from Ruth, The cats came from a pamphlet from our last visit to the vet, lol ....I tried to stamp with baby blocks (meow) didn't come out that good, need a not so busy background .... The cat photo she is wearing a tag so I added a real one with some jewels. LOL I don't know why this photo is side ways, it isn't in my folder where I am uploading it from.

Mr. Krinkles made his official visit this morning, he dropped AJ off a pumpkin spice muffin. Larry and I have had Mr. Krinkles for a couple years, this year is the first time with the grandkids now that they live closer. We are going to have so much fun.

It is beginning to look a lot like CHRISTMAS here! Peace out till later :)

Used my first mask

I seen a video this week on youtube, and of course I did not save it sorry :(
It was how she used a cut out from a magazine and used it as a mask.

I really love how it came out and currently looking in my magazine for more cut outs to use.

A little madness coming out of my head, used lots of Happy Mail goodies.

Still now sure what to do to finish this off.

Happy Friday

Happy Friday or should I say TGIF! Slow week and so glad the weekend is here.  I thought I would share a few photos of a few things I did this week.

How cool is this, my sister's MIL got me a cool sponge flower that had soap in it. Once all the soap was gone I could not wait to use it, made for an awesome stamp with texture!!!!

Dawn from DLP made this wicked sugar skully, love it!!!

Woohooo lookie what came in the mail for me, Dylusion ink spray I ordered a set of 24 from Marcy. She only had 17 of the colors and was on back order for the other colors.

Here was my first project with the spray inks.I also used some of Tumble Fishes collage sheets.

here is the page I finished up with the sponge stamping, where the ribbons are I used a 6 pk plastic holder, yes I love to recycle when I journal :) I flippin' love how it feels!!

Here is my second page using the spray inks. I also used magazine cut out's and paint markers.

And I used the paper towel to wipe up my inks and made her a puffy skirt, LOL

So my hubby got me a couple cigar boxes and here is the start of my first one.
I collage it with old children books, a dictionary and mod-podge
I added some gold trim but not that good, what can I say other then my first one, lol.

found this wooden butterfly and painted in with some acrylic black paint.
I still am not done, long ways to go and I would like to take my time on this so more to come.

So I been seeing all these art journal artist drawing faces on thier page's and I love that but could not draw to save my life, well load and behold I can!!! LOL Who knew?  I am so sorry I should of saved the blog addy I got this from, my cheat sheet.

I really love how this came out!!! The birdie stamp is a Tim Holtz product, my sister got them for me for Christmas and I use them a lot, love to get more.

One last thing to share, I am in another Frida swap and we just had to make some art, so I made my partner a "Tip in" for her art journal book. I printed out a photo from google, the butterflies are from a collage sheet I got at Ten Two Studios, the flowers are those tiny paint boogers you get when you open a bottle of acrylic paints, LOL ok ok paint skins I think they call it. I seen some artist using them on a link I seen this week, again did not save it sorry. I love how this came out.

Well this is it, just finished my last cup of coffee for the day and ready to go in my art room.
Have a fabulous weekend and hope to see you soon.
