Almost end of summer.

Wow, can you believe it is the end of the summer? Time just flying and I am not doing much but getting my art on. Here are a few things I made this week.

These are some tip-ins for art journal books.

The start of a new art journal book, another record book but this one is from 1963. I also used my Marilyn Monroe stencil which I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!
I love how this came out.

This is a cover I did to finish of an art journal book I have been working on for awhile.
The book itself is from an estate sale I went to in the beginning of summer. It is the record book from 1954 of a local doctor office. Pretty cool.

I got some new Prima Marketing Finnabair Art Extravagance Texture Paste!!!!
For this layout I used their Texture Paste - Black Sand. I love how really gritty this one is, awesomeness!!!

For this layout I used their  Texture Paste - Platinum Crackle, this one did not thrill me at all.
I did use a heat gun on one side of the page and on the other I let it dry over night.
Both were about the same effect. I used Tim Holtz Distress Stains on top and like how it came out.
The graphic is from last months Sport Illustrated magazine.

My artsy friend, Jackie sent me the carton of a 6 pack of beer with skulls on it. Finally got to use it and my new sugar skull duct tape too :) .... The sunflowers are some real photos my artsy friend, Lori gave me.
This started with some dylusions acrylic paints and inks, I drew the flowers with neo-crayons
I added some water to let it get the drippy look. I got the skull stencil from my dear artsy friend, Dori.
I love how this came out, don't ask me why. lol

I book down and got the new issue of "Art Doll" what a wicked cool magazine.

Well that is it for this week. Many many thanks for stopping by.
Have a great week!! Until next time "Get your art on"
