Spring has finally came, woohooo!

Spring has finally came, woohooo! Here in Detroit we have had three days of weather sunny and in mid 50's!!! Loving it!!!!  Here are a few goodies I made last week.

In my last post I showed you stage one of my first Fairy  BirdHouse I am building.

Not too bad I think, Now I just got to do some touch-ups and put a coating to protect it in the outdoor weather.

Here are a couple ATC backgrounds I made, when they dry I cut them into three cards then embellish.

 Here are a couple digital ATC's I also made. The first one is made with "Mixology ~ Simple Pleasures Mini Kit 1" by 2CurlyHeadedMonster Designs

and this one is made with "Color Pop 1 - Fusion Kit" by Created by Jill Scraps

I also created this layout for my sister, Robyn's scrapbook.

I also got an ATC in the mail last week from Jill, love it!!!

Send the hubby out for some glue sticks and he comes back with some cool pressies!!! Yeah Me!!

New passion doodling sugar skulls on all the models in my magazines, LOL

I did cut them out and use on a couple pages!!! I hate my writing and I did change it up and bit and removed the nasty writing (photo soon to come) 

I love using my sewing machine when I craft and I just happen to have many small brown paper bags. Seem perfect to make a little journal book to add some of the happy mail goodies I get.

 On the side I sewed some beads and frilly ribbons!!!

 Once I was done I loved it so much I made two more but no embellishments other then the beads and ribbons and sent them to two of my happy mail girls!!!

Speaking of happy mail here are a few more that went out last week. First two are Spring Easter card swap I am in. I painted backgrounds in acrylics and then printed out the bunnies, I really love how they feel and look!

I also had a stamp swap and a couple normal happy mail listers.

Here are a couple pages I made using a needle case for a stamp!! LOVE! LOVE! 

I used some medical gauze, I used too much mod-podge and the page weighs a ton lol

wooohooo I also was featured on her blog this week!!! Yeah Me!!!

Here is my DLP page week 13 or 12 ...we had to embellish our name! I sewed the beads and my name on here!!! The hubby helped pick the words I used (LOL) 

OMG I really think my background pages are coming out so much better since I don't use any mod-podge till the end. What ya think???? 

  For some reason I also have to do a double pager I need to stop this madness!!!!

again double pager madness!!! But I do love these backgrounds and yes I am patting myself on the back!!! Yeah me!!!! I am learning so much each day!!!

Simple Joys in life

Ahhhh, the simple things in life makes it go by fast. I get so lost in my craft room with my art journaling and I love it!! Here are a few new pages.

Oh first let me share a photo of my another birthday present from my sister, Robyn and BIL Aaron!!! 

woohoooo I was a happy girl and don't think I came out my craft room for a couple days. Larry just slid some food under the door!! LOL

  The I bought some more goodies from a swap and buy facebook art journal group, wooohoo!!!

My hubby, Larry put some strong kite string on the wall so I can hang some of my art up. Love ya babe!!!

Some pages I whipped together using some of my happy mail, the cat sticker looks so much like my Cling-Cling!! I seen a video how to use mask tape as texture! Sorry I would of had the link but lost it somewhere :(

 I love wings, oh yes I do, Yes I do!!!

 I did add some glitter to this, sorry no  photo but it was so pretty I could not do nothing with it yet, but I do have plans my pretty!!!

 Found the vintage graphics at GraphicFairy I used some beads I had gotten with my package (photo above)

wow I had not hand sewn in ages and I pricked my fingers so many times...OUCH!!! I made the diamond stamp from an eraser!! Yeah me!

More happy mail goodies, the feather's are from my good friend Birdee!! The stars are actually from stickers and when I used the last sticker I saved the holder and used as a stencil a few times. Then it got ucky so I used in this page and one other. Cool ahhh? To the left was the back side and on the bottom was the front :) two different textures!!!! Yeah me!!!!

I call this "So much SHit" I dabbed some brown and ewwww!!!! LOL not good! Put in the I don't know what to do with it box!!! 

 Playing with all my new paints and stamps!!!!

The blue part was from a big stencil I had used with ink and I splotched the back of it on this extra paper, then painted in some colors with my water colors, then stupid me added the side of orange. I don't know why screw'ed it up!!! Now it is in the I don't know what to do with this box. Stilling thinking! Any suggestions???? 

I made a few ATC's but this is the only one I took a photo of!!! Birdee sent me a few of her inked backgrounds. I added my own inks too and used my new stamps of letters and owl!!! The chips I bought from Sarah. (photo above)

 More playing with my paints, markers and stamps. I also used some of  Deviant Scrap goods.

In the white area behind heart is some of my new crackle paint, love it!!!!

My DLP week 12 project, we had to use magazine's on our page. I flippin' love it!!! My tribute to the great Nelson Mandela!!! He will be missed!

So I had these Johnny Cash postage stamps and when I was done with them there was his photo on the back, I could not wait to play with it and truly love how this came out, tons of layers and stamps!!! I also got Ray Charles and Rosa Parks stamps too, excited!!! So stay tune!

Oh I did make a digital ATC using more Deviant Scrap goods

Well since the photo above I added a couple more layers to this set of pages. I had bought some cool frilly ribbons from Sarah (photo above) and added some of my ranger inks and skull print outs I found on pinterest!! LOVE! LOVE!

 Now the very first layer was from a gamer magazine and do you see the guy with glowing eyes and his hand to his head as a gun???? (from a video game who knows) anyhooo I liked it!!! there are also layers of bits and piece's of scrap paper. Can you see them? I know lots of layers. I also had stamps of big guns I got from VivaLasVegaStamps from their sample free pack, but you can't see them unless you have it in your hands.  We are not done it needs a title, soon to come!

I ended up using these page's for my DLP Challenge - Week 13 - Ask someone else to draw on your page - finish it!

I have so many layers I could not see the Chinese money I have in there and the gold foil that was in Chinese writing!! I sewed the beads on left side and used sticky ones under the butterflies. (at 2am, lol) The poem on the left I printed on tracing paper and stuck down. I have to say I love it and I love my grungy side coming out.

Well, what is this you ask? My sister gave me a few unfinished birdhouse's and some goodies she had, she just don't have the time to do them. In the create was the houses, some paints, stick's, moss and a few other goodies. I only had a few glue sticks around but had enough to get the first layer of sticks on. Digging it so far. I got some inspiration from of course, Pinterest. Today while Larry is out he is getting me more glue sticks. Excited!!! 

Not too shabby, ahhh? I am planning on using the bag of moss that was in the create and some pine cones I had for the roof titles. Stay tune going to be pretty!!!

Well here is the finish of this set of page and I love them and embrace them!!! "Don't do it" is a line from QUEEN LYRICS - Don't Try Suicide, which is from my youth and one of my favorite Queens song.

 On the second side I added "You will heal" Yes I think of suicide who don't when things get shitty??? I don't have the balls to do it and who says I can't put in my art and be rid of the thoughts! God Heals!!! 

But ya got to admit it is wicked and does rock!!!!!

Now onto my kitty!!! First layer was from the gamer magazine (Mickey game) and I found the kitty graphic on pinterest. Day of the dead stuff I love and everyone knows this!!! Just by chance Smashing pumpkins came on the radio with "Bullet with butterfly wings" I seen them in the 90's a couple times and I just love that song. So I added it to the page and on the other side I added my own word. 

Oh how my dark side is coming out and I love it! 

I am so behind in my digi challenges, I will get caught up soon. I did manage to make Peyton a page for her 2014 book. Isn't she the cutest? I used The Kit Carts last year St. Paddy Kit
