Well I've been bust this last weekend, I did another page for my girl Lisa who is a Cancer Warrior Walker.

When I was going through Lisa's photo she post on her facebook I stumbled onto this one and it was a giggler for sure so I had to scrap him. LOL

I also did DSS Recipe challenge but I used the wrong kit, Opps!! But I still love how it came out.

Now I also did a special page for my cousin, Connie who I am so proud of. Connie is a chef at the "Pinic Basket" and got to be on our local Detroit Fox 2 News morning show last saturday along with another local chef, they had a little Chili Cook Off to promote the big one they are in this coming up weekend. Connies won the repoters vote!! Woohoo Best of luck this weekend, Cuz!!

First of October

I love October my favorite time of year, being in Michigan we get the lovely privilege of seeing the beautiful changing of colors of leaves on the trees. Not to mention all the beautiful fall kits from many great designers.

Here are a couple pages I made with the kit, First I did a page for a dear friend Em, she posted her daughters Sadie photo of her first day playing the fiddle. She was so delighted of her new page for Sadies scrapbook, It warmed my heart.

Then I found a very old photo from 1958 of my grandmother, Dora and my aunt Linda as a baby.

I did a page with Scrap Orchards new October Mega Kit, which I got as soon as it hit the store.  It's a wonderful Brest Cancer kit called "Hope"

I started walking for all those years
ago was for my cousin Donnna. My first
was Race For The Cure in 2003 when
Meagan was just 3. She has been with
me every since and we have been doing
the 3 day walk, for the past 6 years!
Since then Donna has left us, there
has been several more young ladies
that have leftus too! We now walk
for everyone, til there is a cure!!

Lisa is my hero and I am so proud of her. Please keep Lisa in your prayers she is now going through some heavy health issues of her own.

Losing and a winner

Well I lost the second chance layout artist contest at "The Studio" But my girl Jill a.k.a Created by Jill won the Designer contest!!! WOOOHOOO So proud to be on her CT!!! I was so excited when I got the bundle I made three wonderful layouts.

This page is made with my girl, Janine photo's of her youngest daughter Emilee and hubby on a fall walk in Palmer, Alaska. They just happen to wonder on a moose in the wild, how cool is that?

This page is also for Janines book, these are you three beautiful daughter and one of their friends last year craving out their pumpkins for the season.

And the last page is Janine's youngest daughter Emilee while her and her dad was on their nature walk.

She is such a cutie!!!! I love this one the best, I think I am getting better at my clustering :)

Here is a page I did of Janine snowboarding in Alaska. I used CBJ's last mini kit she entered for the DSS Designer Contest. "Beneath the winter moon" also used a template by Shabby Princess!!!

Oh and remeber the Qps that came with Armina Designs "The Good Time" Bundle well I needed to whip something up for my little cousin, Kayla home coming dance, She really loved them.

Now I had to make a page for my dear friend, Janine who was in town this past June. She lives in Alaska and had a reunion to go to. This page is her last night in town and visit with her brother, Paul

My trip to the Tigers was last minute decision w/ my brother, Paul
and family My last night in Michigan we decided to go. It down poured
so hard in one of the innings (I think 2nd or 3rd) that they stopped the game
for at least 30 minutes. The only tickets left for sale were
standing room only, but my brother managed to sneak us down to some
good seats. We just enjoyed the game, Tigers won. I just enjoyed
the trip to Detroit...old memories. It was a nice night and spirits
were high after the win. I really felt like the city was bonding that night
a little hope in trouble times. Always good to see people cling to
something ya know. I really miss home, can you tell?

Scrapping away

Hello everyone, What did you do this weekend? I got to play around with them photos I've been wanting to scrap and try to stay warm. Was really chilly in the "D" this weekend. The first page I did was with some wonderful photos my oldest daughter, Toni took while she had baby Faith at work with her at Halloween City. Her co-workers, Faith and Toni had a blast trying on and showing off some of the great custumes they have. I just opened up my Halloween Scrap Folder and went to town. I really like how it came out.

Here is my second page for the DSS Second Chance challenge. We had to use items from their September Blog Train called Second Chance. Some of the designers had some beautiful papers and wonderful unique elements.

OLD DETROIT

I have a HUGE love for my city, Detroit so much so I have done over 20 pages just on the "D"!!!! I really love how this came out, one of my best or at least I think it is, lol The journaling is from some information I got on these cool photos of old Detroit buildings.

Big PhotoBeautiful Detroit Theater turned into a parking lot the old Detroit Theater
(or Michigan Theater) in Detroit, MI was built in 1926 by architecture firm Rapp & Rapp.
It was a spacious and grand hall with ornamental details all throughout its design.
As with most of Detroit, the theater went through several rough patches and eventually became a garage.

I just fell in love the photos and how she is trying so hard to be gentle with her new buddy.

A scrapping Saturday and a freebie too!!!

Today I scrapped and scrapped away making up for the lost week I guess, lol! I had a blast and that's what counts.

So as I told you yesterday I made  Armina Designs CT and I got to play with her cute and adorable kit "The Good Times" I used my beautiful niece Brandi photo's with her boyfriend, Brent. She has so many kissy kissy photos on her Facebook I had to play with them.

I used Yin Design template #234 (I love her templates and use them over and over again) and I used the song "Kiss You All Over" by Exile for the journaling.

I really love how this came out. Brandi and Brent adore it and had it printed out almost as soon as I posted on her Facebook. LOL love her!!!

I also told ya about my pc blues I had last week and had to drop out of SSA LO Artist contest, well I got a second chance for the last week. woohooo.

We have two task with this challenge and here is the first one. We have to use a wonderful sampler of "My First Day Sampler" by Deanna of Flower Scraps.

I used each and every part that was in the sampler, except for one blue paper I never noticed till I was done, hate when that happens but it was perfect so I just left it and the word art is by Create with TLC, she has it as a freebie and I've been waiting to use it. I found some cute photo's of my grand-baby FaithAnne.

I also got to play with Forever Love kit  by B2N2 Designs her newest release.
